MTV Puts Britney, Blink 182 Videos Back On, Snubs Ludacris
The New York Daily News spoke with MTV after the networks flip on removing some controversial videos from their daytime lineup. They have resumed airing Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’, blink-182’s ‘I Miss You’, but have still relegated Ludacris’ ‘Splash Waterfalls’ to the hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. “We decided to take a temperature check, we listened to the audience, we wanted to make sure we still felt good about the images on MTV,” a spokeswoman for the network explained. Now that some of the initial shock of the Janet Jackson’s Super Bowl breast flash is over, she said: “The audience … decided they wanted to see these artists.”
