The Washington Post spoke with Pharrell Williams in a Q&A, asking the N.E.R.D. member about whether the group’s latest album ‘Nothing’ was a continuation of their previous effort ‘Instant Gratification’ or something totally separate. “No. ‘Instant Gratification’ was good, but you know, good is not good enough,” Pharrell said. “What we opted to do was just put it aside and start all over with nothing. And that’s where the title came from.” The transcript at Washingtonpost.com has since been removed.
