Nelly Reflects On Sammy Davis Jr. Award
Teen Scene Magazine caught up with Nelly and the St. Lunatics backstage at the Soul Train Awards recently where Nelly reflected on their success. “We’ve only been doing this for a short amount of time, and you never expect to be receiving awards so early on in your career, but the fans have fortunately enough, put me in the position to not only change my life, but also those around me- friends, family- and it just feel really good to win the Sammy Davis, Jr. award,” he said. “I’ve never met the man, and I wish I had, but I know my Grandfather loves him.”
