Asked if Nelly’s success gave him more of a glimmer of hope because before that St. Louis wasn’t even on the map, the rapper responded, “Everyone was trying they just weren’t making it. You won’t make it just doing St. Louis, you have to travel. We had to travel outside the state and go to place where record labels are at.
