Outkast’s Double CD Is A Natural Progression

Blender magazine caught up with Big Boi of Outkast and asked about the duo’s forthcoming album, which will essentially be two solo albums. One disc with his music, and the other with Dre’s. Asked if it signaled a breakup, Big Boi responded, “No, no. It’s just a natural progression. Each of us has his own sound, so we dissected the Outkast vision down the middle. This way, I can bring something of mine to him, and he’ll get excited and give me some input, like, ‘Man, I think we need to put a whoop-whoop-whoop on there!'”
