P. Diddy Wants Too Much For Bad Boy

The New York Post reports insiders say Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs has had trouble finding a home for his Bad Boy Records because he “”just wants too much money.” An insider said, “Some people out there offered him a $20 million deal but he turned it down – he seems to think he should get a Whitney Houston-like $100 million deal. But his sales can’t back it up. Bad Boy doesn’t have any artists on its label to speak of, and the catalog isn’t worth much. Biggie [Smalls] was profitable but he doesn’t sell so much anymore. Even Clive, who was his big champion at Arista [before Davis left to form J Records] won’t take him back into BMG right now.” They also point to Puffy being overexposed.
