Eminem talked to News of the World’s Rav Singh about his Vicodin addiction telling him, “Yeah, I’ve been hooked on them but life is hard, you know. One minute you’re drinking and the next you’re taking pills. I’ve done most things but these are hard. They’re so addictive but I’m trying to stay sane and do my thing.” Slim also denied dating his movie co-star Brittany Murphy saying, “We have fun but we’re not dating. I don’t know if I can trust anyone in a relationship.”

Mos Def Lends Massive Attack a Hand

NME reports rapper Mos Def has lended a hand to Massive Attack on one of the group’s new tracks titled ‘Eye Against Eye’. While the track was supposed to be on a soundtrack, that has since been reconsidered.

RapSheet Publisher On The Attack For Suge Knight

RapSheet.com publisher Darryl James writes on his website that he’s disturbed by fellow blacks demonizing Suge Knight after his release from prison. James says, “It was disturbing to watch little weak men pretend to be brave when disparaging the name of Marion “Suge” Knight while he was in prison. It is even more disturbing to hear some of them turn their fake lion roars into gentle nervous whispers now that he is a free man.”

Afroman Says Legalize Dope

The Las Vegas Review Journal has a recap and interviews with artists in attendance at the Radio Music Awards at the Aladdin Theatre last night in Las Vegas, where Afroman told reporters told reports why he thinks marijuana should be legallized, “I never had a dude smoke a joint and beat me up. I have had a dude drink some gin and beat the hell out of me.” Read more.

Launch.com talked to So So Def executive and musician in his own right, Jermaine Dupri, about his ability to keep relevant for the past 10 years. Dupri admits, “I think that’s a big feat for anybody in this music industry–especially nowadays, with how fast hits and artists come and go. Afroman Wishes There Was A Healthy Way To Get Stoned

Afroman talked to the BBC about the message he means to send out with his #1 single, ‘Because I Got High’. He cautioned, “Enjoy my performance but think logically and do the right thing.” Afroman did say he wished there was a safe high like dope adding, “I wish there was a healthy way to do it where you could eat it or something.”

New 8Ball Video Directed by Fred Durst

JCOR put out a press release today to announce the upcoming new 8Ball Album, ‘Almost Famous’, due out November 20. Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst directed the rapper’s first video of the album, ‘Stop Playin’ Games’. Durst said of working with 8Ball, “I became good friends with 8Ball, and he asked me to do his video, and I said I’d love to do it. He’s got this real raw style.”

The album also features appearances by Sean Puffy Combs to which 8Ball gushed, “Me and Puff have this chemistry; I can’t even explain it. It’s like we just know how to make good music together, and he’s one of the cats I really respect.”

Lance Bass Says Eminem Is ‘All Fake’

Barry Koltnow of the Orange County Register talked to *NSYNC’s Lance Bass about critics reactions that *NSYNC’s music is pop fluff where he turned the tables on Eminem. Lance said, “I think our music is as real as any band out there. Our music comes from our heart. Critics think Eminem is so real. He’s all fake. He just raps to sell records. Besides, his daughter has a poster of us on her wall. What does that tell you?”
