Last night’s premiere of ‘8 Mile’ at Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, California had a huge list of celebs in attendance. Amongst them were Eminem, Dr. Dre, Christina Aguilera, Pamela Anderson, Obie Trice, Queen Latifah, and many more. Check out pictures from WireImage.com.
Rolling Stone caught up with Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg and asked him about the soundtrack for Eminem’s film debut ‘8 Mile’, which drops today. “Em and I handpicked the artists that we liked,” says Rosenberg. Included on the lineup are proteges and label mates 50 Cent, Obie Trice and D12, a surprise appearance by Macy Gray, as well as songs from hip-hop stars Jay-Z, Rakim, Gang Starr and Nas.
MTV News reports Eminem spent last week in Detroit shooting the video for ‘Lose Yourself,’ the first single from the ‘8 Mile’ soundtrack, due October 29. Besides Eminem, several top rappers make themselves visible on the soundtrack, including 50 Cent, Nas, Jay-Z, Xzibit, Macy Gray, Rakim, and Obie Trice. Check out the track listing here.
Eminem’s show on the Anger Management Tour includes a staged murder of Moby, according to NME.com. A Moby impersonator with a bald wig and red tracksuit walks on to the stage saying “Look at me! I’m a spaceboy”, and then flew up in the air. Eminem then told fellow MC Obie Trice to “get my gun”, before he aimed and fired in the direction of the impersonator. ‘Moby’ then fell to the ground, although it turned out to be a rag doll.
The soundtrack for Eminem’s debut movie ‘8 Mile’ has been revealed, and will feature Slim performing a pair of new tracks, as well as contributions from Xzibit, D-12, Nate Dogg, and others.

RapBasement.com has the pair of freestyle Jermaine Dupri diss tracks DJ Kay Slay put out on his new mix tape. Included in the diss tracks are Eminem, Xzibit, and another exclusive introduced by Eminem for his Shady Records star Obie Trice. Slim’s version makes mention of not only JD, but Erick Sermon’s jumping out of the window, while Xzibit refers to JD as “Tattoo aka The Leprechaun” and adds, “Why you always gotta sound like the next mans sh**?

Dates for the upcoming Eminem headlining Anger Management tour have been announced. The tour will kick off in Buffalo on July 18th before criss-crossing the U.S. and Canada and ending in the headliner’s stomping grounds of Auburn Hills, Michigan.
