Queen Latifah: Oscars Will Provide War Relief
WENN reports Queen Latifah insists that the Oscars should go on if America embarks on a war with Iraq – because everybody will need a pleasant distraction. “America is America and it takes precedence over everything. But at the same time, I know we as Americans don’t want to sit here and cry all day,” she said. “If there is something we could physically do to be involved, we would, otherwise we’re going to be watching war on televisions. So maybe the Oscars might be the break that person needs to take their mind off the fact that their child is over there fighting.”
