Racketeering Probe Against Suge Knight Dropped

Chuck Philips of the Los Angeles Times reports that a federal racketeering probe into allegations Suge Knight and his Death Row Records label committed acts of murder, drug trafficking, money laundering and gunrunning resulted in him only getting a pair of misdemeanor tax charges. Suge said, “The truth is the truth. I appreciate the fact that, after looking into these lies and finding nothing, they had the integrity to say, ‘OK, this guy broke no law,’ and called it off,” adding “I’m not mad at the government. The government has a job to do, and I’ve come to respect the government when it does its work.”
