The New York Daily News spoke with Russell Simmons about his brother Rev Run of Run-DMC’s personal tragedy – the death of his newborn daughter on Tuesday at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey. “I just spoke to Joey and [his wife] Justine, and they’re very strong – the whole family is very strong,” the rap mogul said. “Being overwhelmed by grief is the normal state of things, but they recognize that it’s all God. I don’t think they’re overwhelmed by grief, but they’re struggling.”
