Sam Jackson Won’t Play Second Fiddle To Rapper Actors

Samuel L. Jackson spoke with Playboy magazine in its December issue about why he turned down a part in 50 Cent’s 2005 film ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’. “I have this thing about acting being a craft, something some of us spent time learning to do,” Jackson explained. “When they ask me to validate the career of somebody who comes from another venue by co-starring in a film with him, the No. 1 insult is to say this other person is the actual star of the film.”
