‘Scarface’ Re-Released Thanks To Hip Hop Love

The New York Post reports that 20 years after its original release, ‘Scarface’ is returning to theaters thanks to a shout-out from the hip-hop community. “Recently, Def Jam did a tape of P. Diddy, Snoop and Eve talking about what Tony Montana meant to them,” producer Martin Bregman told The Post. “I’ve been trying to get it rereleased for years.” The 20-minute homage will be included on a newly remastered DVD due out this month. Brian De Palma, Al Pacino and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio will reunite to celebrate the premiere at the Metropolitan Club on September 17th.
