Shaq Raps While In Minneapolis

C.J. of the Minneapolis Star Tribune spoke with Jason Dang, owner of the Soul City Supper Club, after she heard that Los Angeles Lakers center Shaquille O’Neal had been in the club while they were in town playing the Minnesota Timberwolves last week. “Twice,” Dang corrected. “Thursday [9 p.m.-1:45 a.m.] and Saturday [10 p.m.-2 a.m.].” In other words, before Game 1 and Game 2. “He just liked it there a lot,” Dang said. “He hung out the whole night. He was singing on Thursday, some rap. He made up some songs. Got on the stage singing and talking to everybody. I’m not kidding you. He loved the food. He tried the chicken and waffle and black-eyed peas. Some dessert.” Was Shaq rapping about Timberwolves guard Sam Cassell being ugly? “And about the Timberwolves,” Dang said. “Laughing. He’s good. Not really so bad.” So was Shaq rapping about Sam being ugly? “How do you know that?” Dang said. “Yes, yes, yes. Could be.” New question: Does Shaq have any room to call Sam ugly? “I don’t think he said it like that, straight up. He just made up some fun story.” Anything said by Shaq about Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett? “I don’t remember,” Dang said.
