Debra Birnbaum of the New York Post spoke with three New York psychologists to get their thoughts on the lyrics in ‘The Eminem Show’ and whether his controversial raps are creative expression or a public cry for help. Jane Greer, Ph.D. commented, “This is an angry, pained guy with fear of abandonment.” As for her recommended treatment, she offered, “I don’t know that he needs treatment – his music has been his treatment, his way of letting out his pain and his anguish.”
