Simmons Defends Puffy For Getting Slighted At CFDA’s
The New York Daily News reports Russell Simmons had some harsh words on Marc Jacobs taking home the Menswear Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America at the first Urban Fashion Awards Show at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall. Simmons said, “Nothing against Marc, but [CFDA nominee] Puffy has probably sold more underwear than Marc has sold of anything, ever.” Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs took home three UFA trophies that mother Janice accepted on his behalf.
