Slug Guns For Being First VH1 Rapper

Jon Caramanica of the Boston Phoenix caught up with Slug who says his music might make him the first “VH1 rapper.” Slug says, “I think a lot of the stuff I do is still safe and innocent enough to not really offend anybody but still be different. It could be pop. It’s just a matter of timing. I know that. I know verse/chorus/verse, how to build a bridge, word association. I’ve studied this sh**. It’s just timing.
