Slum Village Branches Into Uncharted Territory

Dustin J. Seibert of the Detroit News reviewed Detroit’s own and their sophomore release ‘Trinity: Past, Present and Future’ giving it 3 stars (Good). Seibert said, “Slum Village has managed to succeed in branching out to uncharted territory — a move that usually rings the death knell for most hip-hop artists. Despite the move, they don’t diverge far from the style that caught their first fans, and they manage to do it all with little help from Jay Dee.”
