The New York Post reports Tommy Mottola’s ouster from Sony Music may also spell doom for Steve Stout, who was reportedly headed to the label to head up its urban divison. “That’s not happening,” a spy revealed. “Tommy [Mottola] was negotiating that deal, and everything Tommy was working on isn’t going through. The deal was never signed.” For his part, Stoute says, “I have been in discussions with Sony, but my options remain open.”
