50 Cent was on the phone with Johnjay and Rich of 104.7 KISS FM in Phoenix on Friday (September 12) to promote his new movie ‘Righteous Kill’. Curtis Jackson talked about working with Al Pacino on the project and how Johnjay and Carrie ran into 50 at the Super Bowl and the DJ’s plans to set the two up. 50 then said he’s thinking some new artists are a bit of a joke wearing fake jewelry in their videos and he said the pressure is on Kanye West with his new album and the first single ‘Love Lockdown’, which prompted his airport attack on a paparazzo.
“A lot of people have got mixed feelings on the record,” 50 said of Kanye’s new track. “It’s not the same response he got when he released ‘Stronger’. ‘Stronger was one of those records that people just said, ‘I like it’ as soon as they heard it, and this one is like, ‘Well, what’s he doing singing?'”
