David Banner revealed his favorite rapper, the late Pimp C of UGK. “He just sweats and bleeds the south,” Banner tells Hip Hop Official. “He was one of the motivations for me to represent Mississippi the way that I do.” Banner selected Andre 3000 of Outkast as his second favorite, “because he’s the most lyrical cat in the game to me ever.” The video at YouTube has since been removed.

Andre 3000, Tyrese Impress In ‘Four Brothers’

Jack Mathews of The New York Daily News reviewed ‘Four Brothers’, giving good marks to singer/actors Andre 3000 of Outkast and Tyrese. “‘Four Brothers’ is a movie elevated by its performances,” Mathews writes. “Besides Wahlberg, Tyrese Gibson is a strong presence as the Mercers’ big brother (Virgil Earp?), rapper André (3000) Benjamin acquits himself as the solid brother Jeremiah and Chiwetel Ejiofor is terrific as Vincent Sweet, a mob boss with a penchant for making miscreants eat off his restaurant floor.”

Madonna Teams Up With Andre 3000 On New Album

The Sun reports that Madonna is teaming up with Outkast’s Andre 3000 after meeting him on the set of hubby Guy Ritchie’s film ‘Revolver.’ “Madonna showed up on the set of ‘Revolver’ and made me really nervous,” the rapper/actor admitted. “She walked around the corner and I forgot all my lines. She asked me what I thought about music and where it was going. Then we talked about something on her new album.” Look for the two in a collaboration on Madonna’s upcoming LP, ‘Confessions On A Dancefloor’.
