According to the Hollywood Reporter, Andre 3000 of OutKast is developing a potential series project with Cartoon Network. The musician is hashing out ideas for a half-hour special pegged for the cable channel’s ‘Adult Swim’ block. Andre 3000 of OutKast says that when it comes to voting, he’s been negligent, but things will be different this November. “Stuff came up,” the 28-year-old, whose real name is Andre Benjamin, told The Atlanta Journal Constitution. “I was out of town, I couldn’t see how my vote would matter. It just wasn’t that important to me.”

Andre 3000 of Outkast spoke with MTV News about his starring role in the biopic of guitar great Jimi Hendrix. “The Jimi Hendrix project is on its way,” Andre promised last week on the set of ‘Be Cool’, the sequel to the 1995 mob comedy ‘Get Shorty’. “I’ve actually been trying to do this for four or five years,” he said. “So I’ve read biographies, seen every documentary, seen every performance.” Read more.

Andre has no pretensions about being able to mimic Hendrix’s lightning fretwork. “I won’t do my own guitar playing,” he said. “It will probably be someone who knows Jimi’s style inside and out.”
