Big Brovaz visited ‘Popworld’ on Saturday (April 1). The group talked about getting back together after their label dropped them, their appearance in ‘Scooby Doo 2’, their new track ‘Hangin’ Around’, and the new film ‘Breaking The Cycle’. Channel4.com has since removed the video.
The Mirror reports DJ Andre Shepherd, whose sister Nadia Shepherd of Big Brovaz recently won Best Newcomer at the Mobo Awards, was shot in the arms and back on Friday night as he walked in the red-light area of Reading. Shepherd, 24, was one of nine people shot last week in gun attacks, leaving two people dead. “Nadia is in a bad way. She was in Belgium with the band when the call came through,” a pal revealed. “The color drained from her face and she started crying. She knows how close she was to losing him and that frightens her even more.”

Big Brovaz are expected to add to their shelf-full of awards at Thursday’s MOBOs. They have an army of British fans and are about to hit America. And the Brovaz — who actually count three girls in their line-up — are making huge steps towards helping inner-city kids. Singer Dion tells The Sun, “We were all really upset when we heard the tragic news about Toni-Ann [Byfield – a 7-year-old who was tragically shot last week] and we don’t want to see another awful incident like this again in our community. If we can make some difference through our music and the positive message we bring, the youngsters will know there is a different way.”
