Black Rob Gets Seven Years For Robbery

Billboard reports that Black Rob has been sentenced to seven years in prison for grand larceny in connection with a November 2004 hotel robbery. The artist, whose real name is Robert Ross, was caught on a security camera leaving a New York hotel with a woman‘s purse. Authorities said he pocketed more than $6,000 in the theft.

P. Diddy And Black Rob In Child Support Dramas

The New York Post reports Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs and Black Rob were amongst several celebrity child-support case court battles on Monday’s docket. Puffy had to be threatened to appear while Black Rock (Robert Ross) failed to show up at all. After being threatened with a warrant, Puffy told reporters afterwards, “They don’t have to worry about that. There won’t be any warrant.” As for Kim Porter’s case, he said, “She just wants her picture in the paper.” Black Rob’s absence caused a warrant to be served and his support was increased from $1,333 to $3,394 a month, retroactive to April 2000.
