Verve Talks to D12

Allpop’s Verve magazine talked to the guys from D12 (without Eminem as he was in LA shooting his movie). The group seemed pretty pissed when asked if they were Eminem times six replying, “That’s the most ridiculous thing I ever heard,” says Bizarre. “We all had individual careers. This is the all-star team, man. Every one of us was handpicked, and we’ve all been together for the past seven years. Nobody was taught how to rap or had to sharpen their skills up.”

D12 Pay Tribute at Astoria

The BBC reports D12 and the Outsidaz paid tribute to victims of the terrorist attacks in the US Tuesday by observing a moment of silence during their show in London’s Astoria last night.

D12 told the audience if they support the two acts then they are in support of global harmony.

Little Sign of Rap In The Charts, R&B Dominates

Weak rap sales continued in the album charts this week as the top 30 only included two acts, Krazie Bone’s debut Thug On Da Line cleared 53,122 for the week while D12’s Devils Night sold 52,397, dropping 14% for the week in sales.

Aaliyah took the #1 spot after her tragic death in the Bahamas August 25, while Mary J. Blige’s new album, No More Drama, was close behind. Aaliyah had 337,073 sales for the week while Blige had 324,936.
