Last week, Diggy Simmons had the honor of performing at the 137th annual White House Easter Egg Roll hosted by the First Family. Having been around since 1878, the Easter Egg Roll has been one of the longest-standing American Traditions at the White House. The 2015 egg roll theme was #GIMMIEFIVE, celebrating the fifth anniversary of Michelle Obama’s campaign to get kids to eat healthy and exercise.

More than 35,000 people gathered on the South Lawn and took part in different activities including fitness zones, cooking demonstrations and the traditional egg roll. Check out some additional pictures from Diggy’s performance after the cut.

Diggy Simmons has released the album artwork for his debut effort ‘Unexpected Arrival’, which is in stores and online March 20th on Atlantic Records. The son of Rev. Run kicked off The Life Of The Jetsetter tour with Jacob Latimore, OMG Girlz, Jawan Harris and TK N Cash in Atlanta on Friday.

Diggy Simmons is out with the music video to his new single ‘Do It Like You’, featuring Jeremih, off the Queens, New York rapper’s upcoming debut album on Atlantic Records.

“Basically the video starts off, and me and Jeremih and our boys are at the crib, we’re chillin’ in front,” Diggy explained. Jeremih continued, “This kicks off the video where hopefully I meet the girl of my life and [Diggy] meets the woman of his life.”

Diggy Simmons is out with behind the scenes footage and photographs from his ‘Copy, Paste’ music video shoot. ‘Copy, Paste’ is the first single from the rapper’s debut album on Atlantic Records. “The favorite part of the process I guess is just working hard,” the 16-year-old said in the video clip. “I love when I have a full plate of things to do, like I’m doing a ton of stuff and I love it. Diggy Simmons Releases ‘Copy, Paste’

The follow up to three successful mixtapes, ‘The First Flight’, ‘Airborne’ and ‘Past, Presents, Future’, Diggy Simmons has released his first single. With Atlantic Records and Violator Management putting in overtime work with the 16-year-old Simmons, ‘Copy, Paste’ was shared with party attendees at Diggy’s 16th Birthday Party and now with the world.

The release of ‘Copy, Paste’ comes soon after the recent announcement of Daniel being a nominee for the 2011 BET Awards, in the Young Star category. Diggy Simmons is joined with Willow Smith, Jaden Smith, Keke Palmer and Shenell Edmonds. The 2011 BET Awards are scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 26th in Los Angeles at 8pm EST/7pm CST. The live televised show will be held at the historic Shrine Auditorium.

Taking to Twitter to express his excitement following the announcement, Diggy told followers (@diggy_simmons):

Diggy Simmons says that the chance to escorted Reginae Carter to her 12th birthday party in Altanta and then meet her father Lil Wayne for the first time was quite an experience. “Yeah, that was my first time meeting Weezy and it was amazing,” Diggy said. “I’m like the biggest, well not the biggest, Weezy fan, but a very big Lil Wayne fan. SOHH caught up with Diggy Simmons to ask the young rapper if Lupe Fiasco’s troubles with Atlantic Records caused unease on his part since he’s signed to the label. “Nah, not at all because our situations are different; and obviously we know what happened, that’s stuff I can’t release, but I knew that our situations were completely different, especially with his album and with mine,” Diggy explained.
