Highlights Of Quik’s Grove At Key Club

Skee.TV went behind the scenes with DJ Quik at the inaugural Quik’s Grove event live from the Key Club in Los Angeles. The KIIS FM host was backstage with Quik before the show and on the stage as Quik performs some of his classics. DJ Quik Leaves Bungalo Records?

While no official word has been made from either the Quik camp or Bungalo, it is believed Quik chose to leave following the departure of his protege Amir late last week. Amir was gaining exposure as a rising talent with his controversial track ‘Bombs Over Saddam’.

DJ Quik Calls Suge Out On LA Radio reports that in what was set to be a normal interview for Quik to promote his new DVD ‘Visualism’ on LA’s 100.3 the Beat, DJ Quik erupted into a flurry of controversial remarks, some aimed at Suge Knight. Quik taunted the mogul who has been known in the past for his rough hand tactics with artists to visit his house to “try and get him.” He later said “West coast music sucks” before abruptly walking out of the studio and leaving the station.

West Coast Legend DJ Quik is finally giving the world an extended look into his life and creative process. On March 11, Quik will release his first ever DVD titled “VISUALISM” through FortressDVD. The DVD will contain over 100 minutes of original materials, home movies, studio sessions, live shows , music videos and an original score composed by Quik. It also features scenes with Suga Free, Hi C, El Debarge, AMG, Nate Dogg and a moving tribute to Mausberg.
