The Scottish Daily Record talked to a Scottish student named Joy McAvoy who met Eminem at the Glasgow’s Gig On The Green event last weekend. She went on to party with Eminem at the city’s Cube nightclub before returning to his hotel.
The 20 year old Joy told the Daily Record, “I wasn’t another girl in another port because we didn’t do anything. We kissed and stuff but I was surprised that he didn’t try to have sex with me. We spent the entire night in his hotel. I was shocked, because I thought he was into all that stuff but he is not a male chauvinist in real life. I would never sleep with anyone on the first date. It wouldn’t matter if he was the most famous person in the whole world.” Joy also revealed the two swapped phone numbers, but it’s likely her big mouth will preclude any further encounters.. if they even happened.
Marshall Mathers II wrote a explanatory letter to Eminem via News of the World who published the letter. The elder Mathers opens saying, “Hello, son. You won’t remember me, though I held you in my arms when you were a baby. You think I dumped you and your mother and never came looking for you.
You’re convinced I’m a drunk who never answered any of your letters. Well, I want you to read this and realize you’ve been fed lies all your life. Now you’ll hear the truth for the first time.”
Mathers II goes on to explain how he and Debbie slowly drifted apart and that once they filed for divorce, lawyers handled everything and despite is efforts, he was unable to contact his son.
Eminem was forced to stop his concert in Glasgow after 45 people were injured when he first came onstage. A spokesman for Strathclyde police commended Eminem saying, “Eminem and his band did all they could to help the situation, and we are grateful for his support.”
