G-Unit will be appeared on Rap City “Tha Basement” Thursday, November 18th. They discussed the brand new ‘Beg For Mercy’, the G-Unit sneakers, the G-Unit clothing line, the G-Unit video game, and so on. As usual, the interview was light-hearted and fun. Throughout the interview there was plenty of joking and laughing going on.
WBLI in Long Island caught up with 50 Cent and his G-Unit posse on Tuesday morning. They talked about a shopping trip they were about to go on, the new album, Lloyd Bank’s upcoming solo effort, and his message for morning DJ Maria Garcia. WBLI.com has since removed the audio.

50 Cent and G-Unit were in DC recently promoting their album ‘Beg For Mercy’ live on the air on Zxulu’s radio show. After addressing many issues including the possible Farrakahn meeting, a freestyle cipher ensued with G-Unit members Young Buc, Lloyd Banks, 50 Cent, and DC native Blyss aka the King of DC. As tight as the G-Unit camp rolls, it was surprising to hear a new voice in a cipher with them… is there a new addition to the G-Unit family in the works? Audio has since been removed.
Rap acts on television this week include Ice-T, who appears on Late Night with Conan O’Brien on Tuesday; Wyclef Jean, who appears on the Jon Stewart Show on Wednesday and Last Call with Carson Daly on Wednesday; Missy Elliott, who appears on MTV’s Total Request Live on Wednesday; G-Unit, who appear on TRL on Thursday; Outkast, who appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday; Jay-Z, who appears on TRL on Friday; and DMX, who appears on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday.
As a reaction to bootlegging, piracy, and overall demand, the release of ‘Beg For Mercy,’ the debut album from 50 Cent’s G Unit crew, has been changed to a new street date of Friday November 14. The new date puts the album in stores four days earlier than the original street date of November 18th. “What can you expect when you’re the hottest rapper around? The streets are used to gettin’ my music the unconventional way. So if they want it why not give ’em the real deal as soon as you can. Why make ’em wait?” commented 50 Cent.

Blender magazine chatted with the G-Unit crew as they prep to release ‘Beg For Mercy’ on November 4th. Lloyd Banks says, “50 Cent makes my blood boil. Whenever he writes a new rhyme, I wanna come back with somthing right away!” 50 responded, “I gotta stay on top of my game. And I’m still hungry.” Banks said of their track ‘Teach You How to Stunt’: “I don’t care if you got a $3,000 outfit on or only 100 bucks in your pocket – you hear this, you’re gonna feel like a star!”
