TMZ spotted Flavor Flav on the sidewalk outside of Crustacean on Saturday (June 23), where the Public Enemy star showed off his rhyming skills for Jack the photog. “Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack talk to Flavor, Jack got sick,” rapped Flav, adding, “I love you Jack … keep frosting Jack!” Flav wasn’t the only rapper out over the weekend — with photogs catching Juicy J and DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia, Heavy D, Fabolous and Biz Markie. The other day I was watching some old music videos on BET Jazz or VH1 Soul (it was one of the two) and a video block came on that consisted of Heavy D & The Boyz “Nuttin But Love,” Chubb Rock “Just The Two Of Us” and Salt N Pepa “Shoop.” I can’t lie, I rocked out to ‘em. It wasn’t some deep nonsense like it reminded me of a simpler time or brought me back to my youth. The fact of the matter is the songs just made me feel good. There was an innate quality about each one that just makes me want to smile and vibe with them. Heavy D chatted with MTV News about his new job that has him playing a supporting role in Diddy’s Big and Tall Sean John clothing line. Because of his acting career, Heavy D says a supporting role suits him fine. “Running the thing would have involved me moving back to New York,” he explained. “With my acting stuff going on I didn’t know if I could really do that. But I’m definitely going to play a major part in it because Puff’s line is phenomenal. He’s going to be like Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren.” Read more.

The whole journey through this acting process has been more about convincing people to take me seriously…That’s been my biggest obstacle — that I was a famous rapper.”
Launch.com reports rapper Heavy D is going to head a big and tall division of the music and fashion division of Sean Jean, Puffy’s clothing line. Heavy D tells Launch, “Puff has always been impressed with my style of dress as a big person. So he offered me a consultant [position] at first, and that went well. He was like, ‘Yo, do you want to come run the whole thing, doing the big and tall side?'”
