‘Apprentice’ Runner-Up Interviews Jay-Z, Ja Rule

The New York Post reports ‘Apprentice’ runner-up Kwame Jackson was at the Knicks’ game the other night and interviewed Ja Rule, Irv Gotti, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z – who, despite rumors, are still single, pals swear – for ESPN’s ‘Cold Pizza Morning Show’.

Irv Gotti’s Costly Reach

The New York Daily News reports Irv Gotti got more than he bargained for at the Do Something Brick Awards on Thursday. He was there with Ashanti and Ja Rule, who performed for the youth community service charity. Gotti was reaching for something and an auctioneer interpreted it as a bid for a luxury package of products. The Murder Inc. mogul went through with what turned out to be a winning $5,500 bid.

Ja Rule Done Lashing Out At 50, Will Be Himself Again On New LP

Ja Rule and Irv Gotti are currently in the studio recording a new LP to drop in early 2004. “Ja’s album is coming out at the top of the new year,” Irv tells MTV News. “It was always planned for [‘Blood in My Eye’] to be an album that comes out and hits the streets, and then we drop another one that’s back to our basic [album] formula of doing big records and street records. That’s the chemistry I like. I like the big records and then I like the records for the streets.” Read more.
