Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri spoke with Eddie and JoBo of Chicago’s 96.3 FM. JD revealed plans to work with the Backstreet Boys next month on a new album while Ludacris talked about his crib, his women, the lowest point of his life, his radio DJ days, hyped up ‘Word of Mouf’, his Grammy predictions, and when he lost his virginity. The clips with both artists have since been removed from b96.com.
MuchMusic spoke with Lil’ Bow Wow about his debut movie role which will see him star with Da Brat, Jermaine Dupris, and NBA stars Chris Webber and Morris Chestnut. The junior rapper revealed, “The movie is about a teenage orphan who finds these shoes, and someone tells him that Michael Jordan played in these shoes. So he puts the shoes on and everything goes from there. So you’ll just have to watch and see.”
A. Scott Walton of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution spoke with Jermaine Dupri who was at Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs’ weekend fashion show in New York. Dupri said, “My line (Dupri Style) is coming out in the spring and I’m here to make sure I’m going about it right. I’m really here as a student.”

This story was from back in August but since I’m currently chugging a Mountain Dew Code Red I thought I’d look and see if anyone had focused on the unusual marketing effort to target a soft drink to a black audience, which Code Red has done. Said ZDnet, “UniWorld, a minority advertising agency based in New York… pumped up the word-of-mouth buzz by sending out compilation CDs and free cases of Code Red to hip-hop celebrities such as producer Jermaine Dupri and radio deejay Funkmaster Flex.”
