Kanye West Upset With Lauer, Bush Appreciates Kanye’s Remorse

Kanye West checked in with his Twitter followers (@kanyewest) on Tuesday (November 9), talking about an interview he gave to Matt Lauer of the ‘Today’ show and walking back from his Hurricane Katrina telethon comments that former President George W. Bush “doesn’t care about black people”, which Bush wrote about in his new book being one of the low points of his presidency. But Kanye wasn’t happy with how he was treated by Matt, which may have been the reason he decided to cut down on media interviews. Kanye writes:

Man I’m heading to Abu Dhabi finna go to Ferrari Land YESSSS!!!

….but before I take off let me tell you how they did me at the Today show…

I went up there to express how I was empathetic to Bush because I labeled him a racist and years later I got labeled as a racist….

While I was trying to give the interview they started playing the “MTV” under me with audio!!!!!!!

I don’t mess with Matt Lauer or the Today Show … and that’s a very nice way for me to put it!

I feel very alone very used very tortured very forced very misunderstood very hollow very very misused

I don’t trust anyone but myself! Everyone has an agenda. I don’t do press anymore. I can’t be everything to everybody anymore.

I can’t be everybody’s hero and villain savior and sinner Christian and anti Christ!

I can’t take anymore advice!!! I create, I’m creative, I have a good heart, everyone will see and understand one day.

Everything sounds like noise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYTHING SOUNDS LIKE NOISE!!!!!!! I don’t trust anyone!

Very judged very scrutinized very criticized! I want everyone to know I have lows all the time but I make it through them!

Yo I really wonder if Matt Lauer thought that sh** was cool to play the “MTV” clip while I was speaking about Bush?

He played clips of Bush and asked me to look at his face while I was trying to talk to him. I wish Michael Jackson had twitter!!!!!!

Maybe Mike could have explained how the media tried to set him up!!! It’s all a fu**ing set up!!!!

This is rock and roll life my people… you can’t stop the truth you can’t stop the music and I have to be strong or “they” win!!!!

Sometimes it’s not simple, some days it’s not easy… I just want to create. I love you guys, thanks for the support!

Watch Kanye talk about how in a moment of high emotion he thought he chose the wrong words and President Bush appreciating his apparent remorse during an interview on ‘Today’ on Thursday below.

Kanye West Cutting Back On Interviews

Kanye West checked in with his Twitter followers (@kanyewest) on Tuesday (November 9), discussing how he’s going to cut down on interviews after tiring of “using my celebrity to sell my art.” The rapper had been doing press ahead of the November 22nd release of his fifth studio album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’. The 33-year-old writes:

I’ve decided to fall back a bit on interviews in order to “sell my album” I can’t come up with some magic trick to make people like me

I’ve made mistakes I’ve paid the price now it is what it is. I’m gone make this art but I’m not going to be scrutinized as a human being.

No more Bush questions … no more Taylor questions… no more relationship questions…. and the music is unquestionable so…..

I am a creative person…. I’m not a good celebrity but I’m a great artist… I’m tired of using my celebrity to sell my art.

George W. Bush Resents Kanye West “Racist” Attack

Matt Lauer spoke with former U.S. President George W. Bush in an interview that will air Monday (November 8) on ‘Matt Lauer Reports’ in advance of Bush’s book ‘Decision Points’. Bush said comments by Kanye West in wake of the Hurricane Katrina response was a low point in his presidency. The transcript of their discussion reads:

LAUER: About a week after the storm hit NBC aired a telethon asking for help for the victims of Katrina. We had celebrities coming in to ask for money. And I remember it vividly because I hosted it. And at one part of the evening I introduced Kanye West. Were you watching?

BUSH: Nope.

LAUER: You remember what he said?

BUSH: Yes, I do. He called me a racist.

LAUER: Well, what he said, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”

BUSH: That’s — “he’s a racist.” And I didn’t appreciate it then. I don’t appreciate it now. It’s one thing to say, “I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled his business.” It’s another thing to say, “This man’s a racist.” I resent it, it’s not true, and it was one of the most disgusting moments in my Presidency.

Kanye West Upset After Suggestive Album Cover Gets Banned

Kanye West is fired up after learning Walmart wouldn’t sell his upcoming album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ with the current album cover. Kanye told his Twitter followers (@kanyewest):

Yoooo they banned my album cover!!!!! Ima tweet it in a few…

Banned in the USA!!! They don’t want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix! http://twitpic.com/2ykxjk

In the 70s album covers had actual nudity… It’s so funny that people forget that… Everything has been so commercialized now.

I know that cover just blew y’all minds … I wish y’all could see how hard I’m smiling right now!!!

In all honesty … I really don’t be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers #Kanyeshrug!

I wanna sell albums but not at the expense of my true creativity.

So Nirvana can have a naked human being on they cover but I can’t have a PAINTING of a monster with no arms and a polka dot tail and wings

Kanye West Apologizes To Taylor Swift: “I Bled Hard”

Kanye West checked in with his Twitter followers (@kanyewest) this morning to talk about the fallout from last year’s MTV Video Music Awards, where he walked on stage to grab the microphone from Taylor Swift to talk about how Beyonce should have won Best Female Video. Kanye also apologized to Taylor and added her as the second person he followed on Twitter in addition to Justin Bieber. In a series of several dozen Tweets, Kanye said:

Man I love Twitter… I’ve always been at the mercy of the press but no more… The media tried to demonize me

They wanted yall to believe I was a monster in real life so you guys wouldn’t listen or buy my music anymore

I feel like they were waiting for the opportunity to go in all the way on me and when it came they beat me to a pulp

Even now a lot of articles start there first 2 paragraphs about how much of an asshole I am

I accept the idea (ideal) that perception is reality

When I say perception is reality I mean whatever you think is the truth… is your truth

Some people’s truth is Kanye is racist… It’s not my truth but I do believe it’s my Karma…. walk with me…

Even though the NBC telethon was widely praised yall didn’t think they was just gone let me get away with that did yall???!!!

With the help of strong will, a lack of impathy, a lil alcohol and extremely distasteful & bad timing … I became George Bush over night

How deep is the scar… I bled hard.. cancelled tour with the number one pop star in the world … closed the doors of my clothing office

Had to let employees go… for the first time I felt the impact of my brash actions … I felt the recession from an ownership side

People booed when I would go to concerts and the performer mentioned my name.

Remember in Anchor Man when Ron Burgandy cursed on air and the entire city turned on him? But this wasn’t a joke. This was & is my real life

There are people who don’t dislike me… they absolutely hate me!

Kanye West Makes Surprise Visit To Rolling Stone

Kanye West hosted a nearly two-hour Town Hall-style meeting at Rolling Stone last week, where he played songs from his fall album, jumped up on a board room table to spontaneously rap, and fielded questions. “I forget the word but there’s people who in our history where there responsibility is to be the conveyers of truth on the next generation,” West explained. “There’s a word for that type of person, and I feel like I’m that type of person who has to carry on the truth and tell the story not his story, but tell the story, or it’s like Raphael painting Jesus’ wife, knowing that the Pope would have his head, but he died before the Pope got a piece. As an artist, he said I need to express this or I’ll die. I’ll die inside. This is what I saw. This is what I’m going to paint.” Watch highlights from Kanye’s visit via YouTube below.
