The capacity crowd was thrilled to see Texas rappers Paul Wall, Mike Jones and Bun B perform. What Mike Jones Has In Common With Barack Obama
RollingOut.com spoke with Mike Jones, asking the Houston rapper what he has in common with President-elect Barack Obama. “I call myself the president of the city and he’s the President of the United States,” Jones said. “I won’t get as much duty as him, but I get duties put on me, so I have to represent and hold down the city like how he has to take care of the country.”

Trae Punches Mike Jones In The Face At 2008 Ozone Awards
Trae The Truth and Mike Jones were involved in an altercation on Monday night (August 11) in Houston, Texas during the 2008 Ozone Awards. Jones was videotaped wiping blood from his face while exchanging words with the fellow Houston MC. "The point is, don't come disrespecting the city," Trae told K Gee afterwards. "You don't even ride for the city. When people was sh**ting on Houston, like Houston done fell off, that n**** ducked up, curled and went some where. I stayed fighting, like 'N**** this H-Town.' Everybody respect that about me. That's why they put me at the forefront of this city bro." Jones told G-Man's show on Houston radio station 97.9 The Box he was sucker punched by Trae, who apparently was upset Jones referred to himself as the "President" of Houstohn.
