The Casper Star-Tribune reports a white-supremacist organization’s most recent circulation of flyers is rebuking Mystikal after the rapper was sentenced last month to a six-year prison term for committing sexual battery on his hairstylist. Mystikal was the featured artist December 6th at Rap Fest 2003 at the Casper Events Center. “Over a month ago, the city welcomed the rapist rapper Mystikal. Now the city is throwing out the red carpet to welcome yet another black rapper. Why are we allowing this violent diversity to be forced into our city,” the flyer states. “As the city of Casper continues to slavishly and insanely promote ‘diversity,’ it is important for us to keep in mind exactly who and what is being promoted.” Read more.
The Associated Press reports Mystikal was sentenced Thursday to six years in prison for sexual battery for forcing his hair stylist to perform what the judge called “continuous sex acts.” The 33-year-old rapper originally faced up to 10 years, but received six in a plea agreement. He was taken from court in handcuffs to begin serving his time. “If it weren’t for the victim, his sentence would have been the maximum 10 years,” Judge Tony Marabella said. “The court is convinced that the defendant believes he is above the law and can take the law into his own hands.”

After picking up the an Adult Video Network (AVN) Award in the best ethnic-themed video category for ‘Liquid City’, Mystikal explained to Launch.com why he stayed out of the sex scenes. “I don’t know–it just felt right at the time, you know?” Mystikal said. “I made sure I was very careful while doing it, you know, because I didn’t really want it to hurt me in no kind of way, you know what I’m sayin’, get too caught up into it. So, I kinda just, like, hosted it and pretty much stayed totally away from the sex. Even though I was there, you know, I didn’t, you know what I’m sayin’, I didn’t really play into it like that.”

Just trying to make sure that I keep everybody proud. That’s the thing that counts the most to me, that everybody can be proud of me. That’s kinda why this hurt me.”
