He’s No Nas-Been

Jim Farber of the New York Daily News spoke with Nas about his new album ‘Hip Hop Is Dead’, and opined that it’s clear the veteran rapper intends to be part of the solution to hip hop’s malaise, not part of its problem. “There are a lot of rap artists who don’t give anything back,” Nas said. “When rappers speak out against Oprah, for instance, it’s embarrassing to real men in music. I love Oprah. I don’t expect her to like my records, and I don’t expect to be on her show. But I support her.”
