Eminem’s “farewell tour” stop at New York’s Madison Square Garden was recorded in 2005, prior to the Detroit rapper’s surprising retirement announcement. His D-12 crew, Obie Trice and Stat Quo all joined Slim during the sold-out show, which was captured by award-winning director Hamish Hamilton for Em’s upcoming DVD. Live performance videos from the critically-acclaimed concert on AOL Music in advance of the disc’s release on November 13th have since been removed.

With Obie Trice’s new album ‘Second Round’s On Me’ featuring all-star cameos by Eminem, 50 Cent, Nate Dogg, Akon, and Jaguar White, Popworld asked if he hung out together with any of his collaborators. “Actually, no,” Trice responded. “They were just in town so I said, ‘Come to the fu**ing studio and give me some,’ just like that. Yeah, we hooked it up like that.” Asked if there was anyone else he’d really like to work with, the rapper replied, “Andre 3000 from Outkast. I think he’s dope.”
After being shot last New Year’s Eve and later dealing with the death of pal Proof of D12, Obie Trice has become a serious critic of violence on his new album ‘Second Round’s on Me’. “The violence is getting out of control,” he tells The New York Daily News. “It just makes you angry knowing that they can take your life for no reason. And the authorities are no help.”

Run of Run-DMC, who visits ‘TRL’ on Thursday; and on Sunday, the ‘Teen Choice 2006’ will air on FOX at 8 PM ET/PT, featuring Kevin Federline’s debut performance of ‘Lose Control’ and a performance by Nelly Furtado and Timbaland.

His record label, Shady, released a statement Wednesday (January 4) saying that Trice — who was treated and released from the hospital on the same day he was shot — still has the bullet lodged in his skull.
