Slick Rick Promises ‘Classic’ Show
Now free from the government’s post-9/11 immigration crackdown, Slick Rick has gotten back on the road, “getting the rust out” of his live show and laying plans for a new album. Friday night, he appears at Southpaw in Park Slope, Brooklyn. “They’ll get to see classic Slick Rick,” he tells Isaac Guzman of The New York Daily News. “It’s just my whole personality and the songs that everybody loves and knows. You get to see a little fashion and reminisce. It’s like entering Rick’s world.”
