Snoop didn’t talk much but did address his thoughts on the Flight 587 crash the day before the show saying, “No, I believe this is another phase of what we seen on the 11th. It’s just they doing it another way. Without them taking over the plane, they just gonna take pieces off the plane. Security need to really step up and do a good job. I think they really laid down after it was over with.”
IMDB reports Snoop Dogg is negotiating to play Huggy Bear in the new ‘Starsky And Hutch’ movie, where Ben Stiller will be playing Starsky, with Owen Wilson as Hutch in the TV show remake.
Snoop Dogg was on Access Hollywood admitting that while it is unusual for a big time music artist to contribute music to porn, Snoop has decided to team up with Hustler honcho Larry Flynt saying, “I figured if I play my music on a porno, while you’re at home having fun and doing your thing, as soon as you get done, you gotta go to get that Snoop album.”
MTV talked with Snoop Dogg about his box-office competition with ‘Harry Potter’ killing his and Dre’s ‘The Wash’ in revenues. Snoop blasts, “I keep hearing about mutha—-ing Harry Potter. I’m like, ‘Who is this mutha—-er I keep hearing about?’ I don’t know him, but I do know this. Dre and Snoop, we’ve got a following that’s definitely dedicated and devoted, and that’s all that matters.”
Flo Anthony reports rumors are floating that Cadillac is negotiating with Snoog Dogg to come up with a new car to be called the Snoop Deville in an effort to attract a younger buying audience.
Chris Vognar of the Dallas Morning News gives the Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg starring ‘The Wash’ a 2 star rating (out of 4) describing their performance as ‘adequate’ and describing the film as “stitched-together collection of harmless and uneventful weed and sex skits, some of which make an effort to cling to the friendship theme.”
CDNow reports Snoop Dogg was upset over Suge Knight’s quote in the Mirror saying he “has a lot to learn about loyalty.” When confronted with the comment, Snoop snapped, “He said what? What did he say about me? I never heard that. I don’t read that magazine.”
Esther Iverem, BET.com Arts and Film Critic reviewed the new Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre movie ‘The Wash’ and while trying to say something good about the film, had little to offer. Esther says, “There is some semblance of a plot here,” adding “But it is not very funny. There are some good lines.”
Paul Sherman of the Boston Herald reviewed the Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg starring ‘The Wash’, which incidently includes an uncredited cameo appearance by Eminem, who plays a disgruntled former employee who’s only shown in darkness, hooded or from a distance. As for the movie, Sherman says, “‘The Wash’ might not be the most obnoxious comedy of the year or even the most unfunny. But it might be the most depressing. This sluggish vehicle for rappers Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg is so lacking in comic juice that, much of the time, it’s hard to believe it’s even trying to be funny.”
Despite Snoop Dogg’s recent trouble with the law related to his dope possession, he’s not afraid to talk about using the green stuff. Snoop says that while he doesn’t go to car washes anymore, in reference to he and Dr. Dre’s new movie ‘The Wash’, because, “Muthafu**as be stealin’ your sh** out the car, scratching your paint, taking all your roaches out of the ashtray.” But as for his joints, he stressed, “But I still roll my own blunts. That way I know what’s in ’em.”
