T.I. Gets Three Year Prison Sentence

MTV News reports T.I. was sentenced Wednesday (April 21) to three years in prison for violating the terms of his probation. After serving a minimum of one year, T.I. can apply for a work-release program, according to the county clerk’s office in Cobb County, Georgia. Read more.

T.I. Hasn’t Been Hiding Out Lately- He’s Been In Jail

According to MTV News, 23-year old rapper T.I. has been behind bars the last three weeks in Cobb County, Georgia , for violating probation. T.I. turned himself in March 30th after a warrant was issued for his arrest after a November 1997 arrest and subsequent conviction for distribution of cocaine, manufacturing and distributing a controlled substance, and giving authorities a false name. T.I. Allegedly Shafted By Georgia School

SOHH reports that a benefit concert at Athens’ Clarke Central High School featuring T.I. was unjustly canceled today according to the event’s coordinators. Proceeds from the event were to be donated to Expert reader, a literacy promotion non-profit organization. Though the show was rescheduled for November, the concert promoters are doubtful about the reasons given for the cancellation.

T.I. Helps Unleash Bow Wow

T.I. tells Launch.com that he wrote 30 percent of Bow Wow’s (formerly Lil’ Bow Wow) forthcoming album ‘Unleashed’. “I wrote like 25-30 percent of Bow Wow album, like the first single I did like the third verse and the hook,” T.I. said. “At the same time, he writing his own raps now too. He had a lot of input into it, you know. He know how to say, ‘Yeah I like that or no I don’t.” ‘Unleashed’ drops on July 22nd.
