T.I. Votes Early In Atlanta

T.I. documented his trip to the voting booth in Atlanta, Georgia. Because of his legal status, the rapper didn’t think he could vote, but he learned that even if you’re a convincted felon, as long as you’re not serving a sentence currently, you can vote. Since T.I. is awaiting sentencing, he can vote. At the voting booth, he was greeted by reporters. After voting, T.I. said he felt “great, outstanding. You know I felt like I’ve taken advantage of my right to become part of the democracy. I feel like it was definitely worth getting up early in the morning. Worth standing in line. It’s worth doing all the things people complain about doing when they talk about voting.” Watch the footage below.

T.I. Discusses Firearms Arrest, Misconceptions

T.I. has a number one album with ‘Paper Trail’ and single, as well as a one-year jail term in his future. Denise Quan spoke with the Atlanta rapper, who talked about his arrest on illegal firearms possession and the fallout. “There’s people out there who would rather kill you, than to tell you good luck, or I’m happy for you,” T.I. said. “So until you understand that you wouldn’t understand my train of thought. Not to say that it was right, it’s just my best explanation.” He added that the biggest misconception about him is that he’s “just a big hot headed thug, another ignorant rapper.” Video of the segment at Turner.com has since been removed.
