Will Smith’s Son Not A Natural Rapper

Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush sat down with Will Smith who admits his son Trey isn’t exactly the next Lil’ Bow Wow. “He’s slightly rhythmically challenged,” he said. “I have had him in the studio, and we don’t have another Lil’ Bow Wow on our hands here – he’s not that level of talent yet. He’s not that good, but he can smack the hell out of a baseball, so that’s what we’ve been working on. We’re going to concentrate on baseball and a little bit of acting.”

Will Smith Attracts Slew Of Fans At MTV Beach House

The special Total Request Live show with Carson Daly aired yesterday on MTV. 17-year-old Stephanie Morse said, “He’s so hot, and he’s not standoffish at all.”

Will Smith Says New Album Is His Best Ever

IMDB.com reports Will Smith is hyping up his upcoming ‘Born To Reign’ album, due out later this month, as his best ever. “I don’t want to gas it up, but it’s definitely the best album that I’ve ever done,” he said. “I was keeping it old-school on all of my previous albums. Hip-hop records have always historically been sample-driven. With this album I just went away from all of the samples. It’s live instrumentation, but we processed the instruments to give you that sample sound. It’s a strange sound and it’s incredible.”

Will Smith Calls Into Rick Dees Show

Will Smith checked in with Rick Dees all the way from Japan. Will brought everyone up to speed on his new movie ‘Men in Black’, new CD, and talked about his appearance on the upcoming Wango Tango concert. Will also talked about having a great shot of going to MIT as a kid, his mathematical brain, his love for gadgets, his kids, getting worn out by interviews, his work in ‘Ali’, and more. Will Smith’s New Video Debuts June 3rd

Abbey Goodman of MTV News profiled Will Smith’s new video ‘Black Suits Comin’ (Nod Ya Head)’ which is the first single from the ‘Men in Black 2’ soundtrack. The video was directed by Francis Lawrence, features Smith, clad in the requisite black suit and Ray-Bans, performing for people around the world as well as creatures throughout the galaxy at the biggest intergalactic space concert of all time. Look for the video to debut on MTV’s “Making the Video” on June 3 at 10 p.m. ET. The soundtrack drops July 2nd while the movie is due out July 3rd. Read more.

Will Smith’s new single ‘Black Suits Comin’ (Nod Ya Head)’ was streamed more than 850,000 times Tuesday by AOL members on the very first day the song was available to hear online, breaking the record for AOL Music’s ‘First Listen’ series first-day numbers. The track is the first single form his upcoming ‘Born To Reign’ album and is also the theme for the upcoming summer film ‘Men In Black II’.

Will Smith Talks New Album

New York radio station Hot 97 reports more details from Will Smith himself on his new album due to drop June 25th. Will said, “I’ve recorded about 30 songs already and I like about eight of them.” As for whether he can compete with today’s MCs, he says, “My slang is current, I’m hip to the new-style drums, and I’m back in synch.”
