Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am was in the KIIS FM studios in Los Angeles on Thursday (August 23) to talk with Ryan Seacrest about his new solo album. The rapper talked about keeping the music positive, wikipedia-ing the band, why he’s doing a solo album, the story behind the ‘Songs About Girls’ title, Rio, the track ‘Donkey’ featuring Snoop Dogg, working with Michael Jackson in Ireland on three songs, working with Fergie on her solo album, and more.

Roger Friedman of FoxNews.com reports Michael Jackson’s financial situation is such that he’s getting free assistance on his comeback album from will.i.am. In a two-part interview with ‘Access Hollywood’ set to air Thursday and Friday, Michael Jackson discussed why he’s working with will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas on his comeback album. “I like what he is doing and thought it would be interesting to collaborate or just see how the chemistry worked,” Jackson explained. “I think he’s doing wonderful, innovative, positive, great music.”
