AllHipHop.com reports that Lloyd Banks and Young Buck were arrested after police allegedly found weapons in a van carrying the rappers and 11 other people as they were leaving the Anger Management 3 tour in New York Tuesday morning (August 9).

Young Buck Surrenders

The Associated Press reports Young Buck surrendered Friday to face allegations that he stabbed a man who had punched Dr. Dre during the taping of the Vibe Awards in a hangar at the Santa Monica Airport on Monday, authorities said. Lt. Frank Fabrega said the G-Unit rapper, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, had turned himself in, but provided no further details. Defense attorney Scott Leemon said the rapper would post the $500,000 bail.

Young Buck Defended By Mother Over Stabbing Allegation

Young Buck’s mother says her son has been treated unfairly by police and demonized for his gangster rap songs that depict the harshness of street life. “Yes, he is into gangsta rap, but that doesn’t make him a criminal,” Audrey Horn told The Associated Press on Thursday from her home in Nashville, his hometown. Santa Monica Police Lieutenant Frank Fabrega said detectives had been in contact with an attorney representing Young Buck. They declined to release the attorney’s name. Fabrega tells The Associated Press: “We’re encouraging him to surrender.”

Warrant Issued For Young Buck In Vibe Awards Stabbing

MTV News reports that the Santa Monica Police Department issued a warrant for the arrest of G-Unit rapper Young Buck on Tuesday (November 16) in connection with the melee at Monday’s Vibe Awards. After reviewing a videotape of the fight, investigators believe Buck (born David Darnell Brown) stabbed 26-year-old Los Angeles native Jimmy James Johnson after Johnson assaulted Dr. Dre during the ceremony at the Santa Monica Municipal Airport hangar. Young Buck of the G-Unit will now release his debut on August 31st. He has been doing shows to promote the release of ‘Straight Outta Cashville’. He did a show in Chicago this weekend. He brought his artist, D-Tay who is the first rapper signed to 50 and Buck’s new record label, G-Unit South. Unfortunately for D-Tay, his career may be in trouble after borrowing a pricey chain of Buck’s without asking, only to get robbed later.
