The Source & DMX Connect For Writing Contest
SOHH.com reports that in an effort to encourage more writing from urban youth, The Source and DMX have partnered for a hip-hop essay writing contest based on X’s autobiography, ‘E.A.R.L.: The Autobiography of DMX’. Contestants must write a 500-word essay based on either how a loving relationship has similarly affected you, the impact a mentor or role model has had on you, or what examples of X’s survival are the most powerful to you and why.
