Matthew Lurie of the Chicago Tribune reviewed Twista’s show at House of Blues on January 27th. He writes, “What’s remarkable about Twista, both live and on record, is not just the speed of his delivery but the ever-surprising clarity of diction and enunciation. In fact, the biggest response of the evening came during the martyr fantasy, ‘Kill Us All,’ when Twista offered the crowd A/B comparisons with half-speed deliveries and then normal deliveries. It was clear that Twista is aware both of the thrill most people have in hearing him spit, and the occasional thrill they get when they can follow all the words. But Tuesday night was as much a well-deserved celebration of a hometown boy done good as it was an actual hip-hop show.”
