Tyler Wasn’t Mad About Eminem Not Using His Vocals

Dan Aquilante of the New York Post spoke with Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry who addressed using ‘Dream On’ as a remake in his latest album ‘The Show’. Slim had both frontman Steve Tyler sing and Joe Perry play guitar, but decided to use Tyler’s original vocals on the track. Asked if Tyler was mad about that, Perry said, “Not really. The new stuff I played wasn’t available on the original track. If I played a bigger guitar solo in the first place, I’m sure that’s what would have used. When Steven re-sang it, it was fine, but on the original he really had the sh**.” Read more.
