Damon Hodge of the Las Vegas Weekly chatted with ?uestlove of the Roots ahead of their House of Blues show on Sunday. Asked about the band’s future sound, he’s clueless. “We could build on ‘Phrenology’ a little more, although I’m tempted to take it back to the organic roots of hip-hop. I don’t know. Do we maintain the craziness of ‘Phrenology’, and now that we’ve captured people’s attention, take them back to the where it all started? Half the time I think the best way to follow up is to do something different.”
