Will Smith Wasn’t Dropped, But Contract Was Up

The New York Daily News reports a rep at Columbia insists wasn’t dropped from the label. “We did not drop him,” the rep says. “He had completed his contractual obligation. We had a great run with him.” Smith spokesman Stan Rosenfield says he’s now “in the enviable position of being a free agent.” DreamWorks’ David Geffen and Mo Ostin are amongst those interested in signing the rapper/actor.
