A group of women from London are hoping to set up a new radio station to counteract the negative way women are portrayed in rap music. They’re following in the footsteps of women in America who’ve done the same thing. Jenni is joined by female rapper Est’elle and by Christalle Charles-Morrell, one of the women behind ‘Yes Radio’ to talk with BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour about why rap music is accused of misogyny. The March 18th interview archive at bbc.co.uk has since been removed.
